I love the simplicity of this cookie. It is the perfect example demonstrating how a cookie cutter is really just a broad canvas and that the artwork comes from the small details made by the royal icing. Many beginners try to cover the entire cookie, and get frustrated when the icing falls off the side or runs together.
This design enables the consumer to get a flavor of the cookie and the icing — neither should overwhelm the other, and both should taste great.
This butterfly cookie could be used for so many occasions: a baby shower, a wedding, a wedding shower. Just lovely.
